Evan Weiss, 12, terminally ill, got his wish to meet the Yanks' skipper Joe Torre through the "Make A Wish Foundation," but after five minutes was so "bored" he had his mother end the visit.
"He was a cretin," said Weiss, mincing no words.
"He asked me about school. Whether I fished. Hunted. Was I into girls? My cancer felt like a break compared to the agony of being stuck in a room with that guy."
Torre characterized the meeting as "constructive," adding, "that kid really has a future."
Reminded the boy was terminally ill, Torre said, "I didn't say 'long-term.'"
